I have seen easily a hundred or more of these types of books and this one just blows me away. For me, I started school in the 1960's. There is so much in here that reminds me of the great things i learned and tried in art back in "the day". There are so many things in here to try that kids today have never even heard of or imagined doing. Sure, it has the old standby's like the salt and flour sculptures (remember, the ones you would taste with your tongue, at least I did !!) Although it says it is for Elementary and Junior High teachers, there are many techniques in here that could be used at much higher levels or art education or experience, you'd just do more or get more creative than the basics they show. I think that is the key thing. It shows SO MANY basics that can then be expanded on, limited only by the creativity of the student, that this one book could enable years of art education projects with no duplication. Even ways of using crayons that I had never heard of or realized!! This book is just 1005 GREAT FUN. Guaranteed that the projects in this book will challenge and enable young artists to really blossom and maximize their creative talent. I can't recommend it highly enough and it just blows away almost every recent book I have seen
