In the last two years, however, there has been a noticeable move towards a handcrafted style, perhaps a logical reaction to the torrent of digital imagery. More and more image-makers are turning to traditional tools and techniques, and their methods vary widely: some work solely with pen, pencil and paint; others create images using tapestry and embroidery, and many incorporate digital elements into handmade art. This book is a godsend for the budding illustrator or graphic designer. It's full of diverse and original styles of work, with information about the artist, their background and their style to match. This book provides a useful reference for contemporary illustrators and graphic designers, and should be included in any creative person's library.

Its an amazing collection of really quite varied illustrators in experience and their styles, ranging from experimental collage to eye-catching child like sketches. im at the stage where im deciding what im going to do with my life(career wise). this book has done it all for me. this book has inflicted so much excitment on me about the world of communicating art. its a gorgeous read.

I am student,and i find this book a vital source of inspiration and ideas.It packed full of amazing work, ranging from experimental work to commercial.I would highly recomend it to you,if you are looking for great ideas and innovative pieces of work.You can dip in and out of it.The illustrations are lush!I hope that helps.i off now to purchase pen and mouse.
