Excellent series of cook books. Mostly simple straightforward recipes that sound good and look great in the photo's.
The book is actually 100 recipes with a variation of each, giving 200. For example, monkfish with beans and pesto's variation is scallops with green beans and pesto, and it's as simple swapping the monkfish and beans for scallops wrapped in Parma ham and green beans, the rest is the same. Not all variations are that simple, but small changes can create a very different end result.
Prep times are given and range from 5 to 30 mins, most being around 10-15 mins. The low fat nature of the dishes isn't overly apparent and it more or less just reads as a nice simple cook book with exciting recipes, mostly on the rustic side. Very few, impossible `chefs only' dishes.
Sections are everyday (28 pages), quick (40 pages), something special (38 pages), vegetarian (40 pages), salads (38 pages) and deserts (38 pages).
Great book at a bargain price.
