4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining read 3 Aug 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have always enjoyed time-travel tales and this one I found most entertaining and gobbled it up in two sittings. I felt, too, that there is a touch of originality about it in that it is presented largely as a personal account of what happened accidently to one ordinary individual.
There is plenty of adventure and twists and turns in the plot to keep one reading. It was intriguing to see what changes to the future were caused. I was really caught by surprise at the final change. At the same time it was logical.

The only crit I would make is that the author has not given sufficient study to English speech patterns and word useage for instance auto and automobile instead of cars or motors. I felt uncomfortable when English characters referred to Americans as yanks. It sounds impolite. I don't think this term has been used in the UK since World War II.

Overall though the book is a good buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read! 28 Mar 2011

Outstanding and entertaining read! This book mixes my favorite elements from the show "sliders" and the book "a wrinkle in time" and adds very unique doses of medieval england history and psychological elements. Definitely recommend if you enjoy books about time travel or parallel worlds. This book is a bargain at$1.99!

5.0 out of 5 stars Did Dr Paul Channel Edgar Allen Poe? 20 May 2013
By Mollie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Dr. Paul's writing style (editing?) is reminiscent of the stories by Edgar Allen Poe. His approach is first person and the directness of the message makes it seem believable. When I purchased the Kindle edition on Friday, I had no intention of beginning it until after my busy weekend which was filled with overnight guests, puppies, and a fundraising rally. I had expected that the book would be more of a mystery than a fantasy. However, I was incorrect on both points. Once I started reading "Hamelton", I looked for opportunities to continue. I retired early each night in order to read. The story is captivating. Let the reader beware that he/she will not want to be interrupted while reading. Unlike other reviewers, I am reluctant to mention the plot. If you are psychic, you may already have a good idea. I will tell you that it is unexpected and compelling.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hamelton Book Review 27 Nov 2011
By Susan Poirier - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This was a great book! It was hard to put down, and kept me captivated with what was going to happen next. I liked the throw back with history and adventure, plus the concept of time travel. It was fasinating to read, and ponder the real outcome if it had really happened to Chris Blake. The range of emotions, and the relationship factors made it interesting, but noted that it would be a painful experience having to leave your best friend to death. You don't know what you would have to do to get out with your life, and back to your world. Well written, and very enjoyable story, and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good read.
