I first used this type of board about five years ago during a family holiday skiing holiday in austria. they were great fun and took only a few minutes to perfect technique. basically you sit on them, lean slightly backwards, pulling the handle slightly upwards between your legs and off you go. i personally only hold the handle with one hand using the other (slightly bucking bronco style) for balance. they only work on ice/compacted snow, so dont get frustated if they dont work too well the first few times. i particularly bought this make as other tried and tested ones (such as those from intersport and garden centres) are rubbish. i still have my originals from my skiing holiday but due to useage and weather are becoming brittle where the handle joins the 'pan' and are beginning to crack. they still work though, and the new ones are future replacements. in all i would say great fun, a good purchase, dont expect them to be a lifelong product, but you should get a few years out of them. in my opinion the best type i have tried so enjoy!!!
