having a clear soft plastic view panel which forms the whole of one side, the remainder is mainly of a heavy duty cloth material. access is via a zip having pvc overlaps to keep water out and runs around bottom and two sides.
internally, you have 8 black cloth covered foam pillows, which attach to a velcro base pad, which itself is not held to the case so easy to clean. this allows for easy adjustment for most device sizes and shapes. you might even get a slim phone and a small satnav inside together, i would say after some use more velcro hooks area could be added to the center of the back pad, but easy enough to do yourself as required.
on the back panel, you have the generic phone cradle 4 tooth base, which is very very securely welded onto the material, so literally a 'snap' to attach and remove for when 'comfort' stopping, or to buy fuel or milk etc.
it also has a lanyard supplied which i us around a mirror stalk for added security just in case the cradle mount breaks in a collision.
while not designed to be submersible, i'd say it is easily heavy shower proof as long as you close the zip properly, it will double as a beach bag to keep sand out of those more sensitive items like phones/ mini DV cameras, wallets and small purses and other must have clutter we take with us these days.
on the display card that comes with it, shows cables exiting the bag, but i have not found this on mine. so may have simply missed that process when made, but not a big deal imo as if you consider that with each device you are likely to carry, the leads are plugged into different places, and you will us in different orientations. so any such hole will always be in the wrong place and not having one add's to the overall integrity. i simply exit the leads from case at the 'open' end of the zip. and if raining i make sure that exit is away from the top.
i bought mine having considered the Givi bag option, which is velcro strapped to the handlebars, in practice making fitting and removal of the bag far more time consuming. you are likely to leave that bag on the bike and so have it stolen, albeit you don't need to fit it on an additional cradle mount.
so i suggest at this price you go buy one or two, be real rude not to imo. this as a very good and tough all rounder product.

look elsewhere if you are after a decent bike mounted case for your sat nav etc.
