The LM-09 Hama Tie Clip Microphone is a small, high-performance clip on microphone with excellent characteristics perfect for use in reporting, taking oral notes, etc. The mic clips onto your lapel, ideally situated for capturing the voice. The LM-09 comes equipped with a windshield to ensure clear outside recording.

The omnidirectional nature of the microphone means that you can record from almost any angle and still get the optimal sound performance. With an impedance of 900 Ohm and a frequency range of 50 Hz - 16 kHz you can gurantee a high standard or audio replication and playback every time. The mic's Sensitivity is 65+/-3 dB while the cable length is 6 metres, leading to tangle-free use.

Let me expand on my comments on the microphone clip. The material of the clip is brittle. You either balance the microphone in the clip and it will fall out or you press the mic in and the clip breaks. When the clip breaks you glue the mic in (isn't super glue good stuff?). The mic itself is very good. Pity about the clip.

Very sensitive, versatile mic. Tie clip is rubbish, very brittle, have to glue mic to clip.

For some reason this microphone comes with an enormous black box halfway up the cable that is 20 times the size of the microphone and very heavy. The box houses an on-off switch that is tiny by comparison, so why the box needs to be so big is beyond me. The box also accepts the battery (yes, this microphone requires a small battery - 1 supplied, but when it runs out you know you'll throw the thing away).

I bought it to be a tiny portable microphone for VOIP calls when I'm abroad - but the big clunky box and battery mean I'm still looking for a decent mini microphone.
