Initially bought this to safely trigger an old Vivitar 283 - which has a trigger voltage of 250v! Works perfectly. I've been experimenting with high-speed photography (water splashes etc) and when I tried the Hama Slave Unit in parallel with other flashes (fired by a wireless sound trigger)it showed no visible latency. A BB pellet inevitably shows slight blurring with commercial flash speeds, but when this slave was added the increase in 'blur' was almost nil. Very impressive - if one of my three radio triggers fails, I will replace it with another one of these at half the price of the cheapest wireless unit.

I bought one of the cheaper units sold elsewhere on Amazon and had to return it as the clear cover over the sensor fell into the unit! It was replaced but still has a very flimsy feel to it.
I bought this as my main unit to cover my of camera needs and it works very well. It also is a little more robust than the other I bought.
Sent in a very timely manner so no complaints this time. Reccomended!

Flash accessories 9 Mar 2006
By A Customer
This flash accessory is an ideal tool for photographers on a budget. it is small, compact and versatile. It is suited to most flash units and is easyily transportable.
i have had great fun with it. It does not require connecting cables to the camera, as it is a remote operation.
It is value for money

One flash wonder
I am trying it on an old Cobra D650 flash gun. It fires with no problem until the second time you want to fire. To get it to fire again you have to dismount the flash and remount. Read more
