This special SCART-VGA cable from Hama allows you to connect a device such as a DVD player (via SCART) to a LCD screen or projector with a 15-pin VGA connection.
Gone will be the days of poor signal that flickers or becomes fuzzy during films or programs, with the Hama SCART lead you will experience nothing but fantastic uninterrupted signal transmission with no interference, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy. Just plug in the relevant ends of the cable and you’re ready to go.
With a generous 5m length, the cable allows you all the freedom you need so you can safely lay the cables behind furniture or around the edges of the room to prevent a trip hazard and visually unattractive wires running across the floor. The long cable is also useful if your TV monitor is wall mounted and you wish to run the wire up a wall.
Please note: It is important to check with your equipment manual for suitability before use. This cable can be incompatible with devices such as computer monitors which are designed for computer use only.

This cable does not connect any device with a scart out, to any device I have with a vga in. I have tried connecting DVD player, games console and freeview box to both my projector and LCD screen to no avail. Product has been returned immediately.

Everyone who is complaining that this item won't work on your computer monitor, it clearly says in the description that it will not do this. It is designed for tv's only and the technology in tv's and monitors does have some slight differences which mean they work differently. This cable is designed more to work with something like a projector. Read the information properly before you purchase the item.
