I got lots of videos that i needed to covert so i choose to use video to pc device. But you need to purchase this so you can plug this in the scart at the back. Set the adaptor to out. When your computer can see it you can use windows movie maker to capture the movie. 10/10 for the price

This cable is perfect for converting a SCART output to RGB...
But it won't last long.
Most people will be buying this cable to run SCART to RGB and not the other way around - just like I did. The switch on the SCART connection appears to be a good idea, and I certainly felt a sense of 'you never know I might need that', but in practise is rather pointless as you don't use this cable as RGB to SCART.
Only the second time I used the cable the switch broke and ruined the connection.
So I held the switch in the "OUT" place but then teeth started to come off the SCART connection.
Luckily I can reconnect SCART teeth but for anyone without a tech degree this would mean the cable would be useless.
Then the Red connection of the RGB came loose but I was able to fix that.
The final straw came when the cable deteriorated due to the enormous amount of heat it produces (which also suggests further problems) and ruined the image quality.
In short, the cable is cheap for a reason. If you want to convert SCART to RGB, buy a cable that specifically does just that.

We bought this cable to connect our VHS player to our DVD HD recorder so we could transfer old treasured VHS tape recordings to the hard drive to burn in DVD format. It works fine, and was very simple to do - meaning that for the cost of a few pounds we can keep our old recordings and ditch those old VHS tapes.

Not bad for the price, shame about sound quality
Video quality is very good considering the price, but sound quality isn't so good. Used it on an old VCR and a more modern DVD player.

Converting VHS to DVD with the Hama 3 Phono to Scart cable
The 3 Phono to Scart cable worked well from an old VHS player with one scart connection to my Panasonic DVD Recorder with very little hum on the audio.

LOSE SCART
Very bad buy for me, the scart are lose. I tried in different ports... As I got 3 of these cables must thing that it is worst then bad luck.
