The LM-09 Hama Tie Clip Microphone is a small, high-performance clip on microphone with excellent characteristics perfect for use in reporting, film and for clipping on during a musical performance, etc. The mic securely clips onto your lapel or clothing to be ideally situated for capturing the voice, and leaves your hands free for more important things such as playing an instrument or using props. Lightweight and compact, you will hardly notice that it is there and will not be weighed down by a bulky mic whilst the LM-09 comes equipped with a windshield to ensure clear outside recording with protection from muffling and negative sound effects of the wind.
The omnidirectional nature of the microphone means that you can record from almost any angle and still get the optimal sound performance. With an impedance of 900 Ohm and a frequency range of 50 Hz - 16 kHz you can guarantee a high standard or audio replication and playback every time. The mic's Sensitivity is 65+/-3 dB while the cable length is 6 metres, leading to tangle-free use and huge freedom of movement. There is also a 3.5mm mono plug and a 6.5mm adapter included, along with a battery.

Let me expand on my comments on the microphone clip. The material of the clip is brittle. You either balance the microphone in the clip and it will fall out or you press the mic in and the clip breaks. When the clip breaks you glue the mic in (isn't super glue good stuff?). The mic itself is very good. Pity about the clip.

I tested this with the Eos 550d. I'm really satisfied about this lavalier mic. It comes with a coin size battery and six metres of cable. It also has an on-off switch to save battery life. You may also consider Sony's stereo lavalier microphones, but these come without the long cable.

Very sensitive, versatile mic. Tie clip is rubbish, very brittle, have to glue mic to clip.
