Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

This tiny device is one of those gizmos that, once you have it, you wonder how you managed for years without one. It simply converts a camera with a hot shoe only flash contact to one that has a PC cable flash sync socket, thus opening up a host of options for new lighting techniques. Simply slide this little Hama hot shoe adapter into a standard hot shoe, plug in your flash gun cable and you are ready to start shooting.

This now means that you can connect multiple flashguns via this adapter and a flash splitter to allow up to 3 guns to be triggered simultaneously. You can also now make use of the studio lighting at your local camera club, simply by plugging the flash cable into the socket on the adapter. You can even add a bounce shoe adapter and connect its cable to the socket, allowing you to create new lighting effects.

Long distance flash triggering is now by connecting up to a 10m extension cable between the flash gun and the camera. This opens up a whole new way of working with flash on a hot shoe only camera and should find a corner in loads of gadget bags.

Great product, I purchased an Interfit lighting kit (which uses pc-sync leads) but my camera (Canon 350D) doesn't have a PC-Sync socket so this product allows me to trigger the lights when the shutter fires. Simple but effective and much cheaper than an infra-red or wireless trigger. Recommended.

Most DSLR's do not have a separate socket for a PC lead (sadly), so we have to use an adapter for the hot shoe when using studio lights. The camera manufacturers charge £22 or more, so this little beaut, at less than £[..], is great. Yes it works just fine. Two of us in our camera club are using this adapter.

This Hotshoe adapter, is a life saver!
Since Nikon decided they weren't going to put a port for the studio lights, or a wire to connect to light meters, this has saved the day! I can now use my light meter and studio lights with ease! Just slots into the top of your hotshoe, (where the flash usually sits) and syncs up with wires no problem!
Definately a must-have for any Nikon camera user!
