As with all Hama beads it is very good for encouraging manual dexterity. I was a bit disappointed that the peg boards were not shaped and you have to use a colored picture under the board. I think it is more suitable for slightly older children as the young ones often go wromg if they move the board a bit and can then get frustrated.
