great service, great item, 9 Jul 2008
Next day delivery from Amazon, excellent.
Installation no problem just install the drivers then attach the dongle (although XP will recognise it anyway, always good to use the proper drivers!). Picked up my PDA an old orange SPV, and my Samsung D840Ultra.
No issues or problems great piece of kit, also took a punt on a cheaper one (iBlue), no issues with that either.
pays your money takes your choice.

Small and perfect, 19 Jun 2008
Next day delivery from Amazon ..... excellent. This tiny unit is almost swallowed whole by a USB port just about 1 cm protrudes. Set up is easy with the included driver disc and the whole thing was in operation within 2 mins of opening the packet.
Instructions are clear, (if a little small) and overall this is an excellent little piece of kit.
I am using it with a Microsoft 5000 mouse with which it paired in a matter of seconds.
A practical, effective and low cost solution to none bluetooth equipped laptops.

Let's face it, size DOES matter, 15 Sep 2008
You can look at the pictures and read the reviews all you want, but nothing can prepare you for just how small this thing is. Not a lot bigger than a tab of chewing gum (sorry, it was the only thing I could find that came anywhere close size-wise), the vast majority of the adapter seems to be taken up with the actual USB housing rather than the Bluetooth transceiver and yet, rather surprisingly, this doesn't seem to affect the signal quality at all. I primarily use mine to beam contacts, documents and photos between my Samsung i900 mobile phone and my PC, and I have been really impressed at how solid the signal strength is considering that the adapter is totally obscured by my PC. The transfer speed is also pretty good at a stated 3 Mbit per second, nowhere near wired speeds but good enough for the transfer of not too large files.
I use mine in a Vista-equipped VAIO and, whilst Vista seemed to recognise it and install the appropriate drivers automatically, I at first couldn't use it to do anything meaningful. Vista did eventually download a suitable Bluetooth stack after I did a `system update', but I found that installing the Toshiba drivers and operating software on the included CD gave me full connectivity and more in the way of options, including file transfer, remote camera (if you have a suitably-equipped digicam) and VoIP through Skype (if you have a Bluetooth hands-free or other headset.) However, the standard Windows stack, whilst less feature-filled than the Toshiba one, allows transfer of certain files like (for example) MP3s, which the Toshiba one doesn't. My advice would therefore be not to use the included software if you have a Vista-equipped PC and want to do things like sending ringtones to your mobile.
The Hama Nano Bluetooth adapter is an object lesson both in miniaturisation and technical expertise. Fit it into a USB port and it almost disappears from view - little more than the plastic tip protrudes - so within a day or two you'll forget that it's even there. In fact my only complaint would be that it's so small and fits into the USB port so snugly that once it's in it's a little difficult to remove without fear of breaking it.
