It may be my fault, but I assumed that this was for connecting two male scarts together. So two 1 metre scart cables joined either side of this product would give one the equivalent of a 2 metre length. Physically it does but no signal gets from one end to the other end in either direction.(e.g.DVD player/recorder to TV). BE WARNED!

Works OK with no problems when connecting two SCART leads. Has, if I understand correctly, the correct "cross-connecting" of pins to match that in SCART leads, so that (for example) pin 1 of the first lead, which goes to pin 2 at its end, is routed via this coupler to pin 1 of the second lead - as it needs to be.

top product, considering the hours of televisual entertainment i'll get through this product it's a massive bargain.
i've used it on my Wii & connected it to a scart ran through my wall for my LCD & haven't experienced the same as a fellow reviewer when they mentioned the scart hangs out, it fits perfectly for me.
