The Hama 1.3m long flash gun synchronisation cable is designed to link a flash gun to a camera, slave sync unit or flash splitter in order to trigger it when the camera release is depressed. It utilises PC plugs at each end to connect to the hardware. These plugs are set at 90° to ensure that they are not easily pulled out accidentally in the event of a snag on the cable. The plugs fit snugly to the body of the camera but are easy to remove when the need arises at the end of the photo session.
The cable itself is self coiling to take up less space in the gadget bag and to ensure less clutter when connected between flash and camera rather than a dangling straight cable. These cables can also be used with flash arms and small flash heads in a macro set up where you want to avoid a mess of connecting cables getting in the way of the subject or control of the camera. All in all it is a very useful accessory if you use macro flash heads or studio lighting and you want to have a short distance from the sync socket on the camera or slave unit and avoid loads of cable tangles.
