Very good buy,

Does what it says on the tin!I've read other reviews on the internet ~ the most commonly quoted problem is that dogs are not happy with the Halti. My dog was not happy when I first put it on - but within 40 mins of brisk walking accepted it. He tried to fight, scatched at it with his paws, laid down, pulled back, charged into the lead and whined like he was dying. I ignored this and keep walking, praising a little when he was relaxed in it and hissing with a little tug on the lead when he mis-behaved, it took 20 mins of battling, then he was over it for the rest of the walk. It makes the dog heel perfectly, with his head right by my side on a short but loose lead. I think it is useful to challenge your dog from time to time - so long as you're not hurting him, he needs to accept whetever you want, even if it is a bit scarry. Buy one.

i have a husky dog.I've spent a fortune on harness's, choker's, semi-choker's.You name it i've tried it,it literally got to the point that to take the dog out for a walk was dreaded by everyone, then i was told about the head collar.FANTASTIC even my 4yr old grandaughter can walk him.Yes i agree with the other review he hates it for the first 5-10 mins, rubs his face, scratches his nose, but a quick tug and told NO he's great.I would highly recommend this product for difficult to walk dogs it definetely brings back the pleasure in walking the dog(also stops recurring pulled muscles and shoulder injuries!).Halti Dog Training Head Collar Black Size 3

Great but . . .,
By LabMummy (UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Halti Dog Harness Head Collar & Link Stop Pull Size 3 (Misc.)
I bought this for my boisterous Labrador who despite being trained to walk to heel in doggie classes chooses to haul me about on the street making walking her an unpleasant chore and a struggle. As other reviewers have noted, dogs do not like this. She hates the sensation of her nose being covered but is able to be led incredibly gently and it makes walking much easier (when she's not throwing herself down on the ground and attempting to get it off). It's much more pleasant and much kinder than using the choke chain, the only thing which comes near to controlling her. Unfortunately, despite fitting the halti correctly and having the correct size, my dog can back her nose out of the halter and slip free. Other breeds may not be able to do this so easily and for them it's absolutely perfect. For a clever and stubborn Lab you might have to look elsewhere for controlling your dog.
