I thought I'd already written a review on this, but hey ho!
I have to say, this pram is gorgeous but there are some draw backs....... The material is rather flimsy.
My daughter 'poppered' on the cover with ease, but when she came to take it off again, the material ripped. The poppers are far too tight for such thin material and it couldn't have been avoided.
Little girls want to PLAY with things, which usually means 'giving them a good old battering' but I was forever telling my daughter to 'be careful with it' which kind of spoiled play.
Luckily though, she is more gentle than my youngest who is 6 1/2, and I think that older girls have a LITTLE more desire to look after things so I decided to buy it for her despite this. I wouldn't recommend it for younger girls and they may be rougher in playing with things and would most probably gotten broken sooner.
An easy fix for this problem would have been to attach the cover and raincover with velcro instead. This is what I'm doing with ours.
I wont be taking the poppers off, but simply attaching a piece of black velcro over the top to a) cover the small tear and (b stop it happening again.
Why couldn't they have made it that way in the first place?
On the 'up' side, this is a really pretty yet grown up pram for girls of around the later single figure age. Or maybe just tall girls haha.
I struggled long and hard to find one for my daughter that was tall enough but this one measured up just lovely. She was 8 1/2 when we got it for her and she has had many a 2nd glance from people when she takes it out and about.
I think I would buy this again, but know your child's capabilities. If they only 'rough play' then I would avoid, but for the more gentle approach, I'm sure you will find this a real gem.
