Great starter trainset! It doesn't say in the details above that it's Brio/ELC compatible, but it is, meaning you can mix and match with other stuff. My son loves it! Will also be buying it as Christmas present for godson.

This is a great started train set. We got it for our ~2 year old daughter for Christmas. As other reviewers have said, it's Brio compatible, and also compatible with the wooden track "Thomas" stuff - we got a battery operated "Thomas" to go with it, which made a perfect gift. I find the noise of the engine a little annoying, but my daughter loves it - I did have to tighten the screws on that piece though as it came quite loose and my daughter could get into the battery compartment.

I would also perhaps recommend getting some additional straight pieces of track to go with it, but even without we have been able to make some quite interesting layouts.

This item represents very good value for money.There were other similar train sets which were more expensive but did not have so many features.
It has provided hours of pleasure for my 2 year old grandson.It is both strong and durable and Im sure it will outlast other toys in the toy box.
It also has sections of road so he has rail and road features.
We are very pleased with the purchase and I would have no reservations in recomending it.
