About the Author
ZIZOU CORDER is the not-so-secret identity of Louisa Young and her daughter Isabel Adomakoh Young, who have been writing together since Isabel was seven. They have previously written four books: the LIONBOY trilogy and Lee Raven, Boy Thief. They wander the world in a gilded balloon, and have 17 pet ducks and 8 miniature grand pianos, as well as the lizard and the dead tortoise.

THIS WAS AMAZING!! I don't usually read books that arn't in a series but I found this absaloutly fantastic! Halo was such a awsume heroine that the lack of romance didn't matter! I loved her relationship with Arko but I think there was a little bit too much death especilly of close friends! Or even a near death experiance for Halo! I loved the inclueding greek gods, which shows she did reasurch! I would deffintely recomed this to anyone who liked Percy Jackson, or Percy Jackson to anyone who loved this!!!! ;D

Exciting adventure set in Ancient Greece, with interesting characters and plenty of action. My 10 year old son wolfed it down, but as it has a female heroine, it would appeal to girls or boys equally, including older ones. The authors avoid jumping into stereotypes about the different Greek city states, and I found it interesting to see the good and bad aspects of both Athens and Sparta. I'd recommend it.

i've noticed that most of the other reviews for this book are by mums with younger children and i'm 15, ran out of reading material so raided my 10 year old brothers.
loved the book and it made a change from all the vampire fiction thats around at the moment although i do love it :)
be prepared for a surprise at the end though!!!

lovely story
I bought this book for my 9 yr old daughter who has recently read all the Percy Jackson books. She read this in about 2 days and loved it.
