This is a review of the actual contents of the Legendary edition, the actual game reviews are readily available from loads of sites....
So, after saving and waiting, my sons finally got the big box delivered and acroos the top of the brown box was a thick band of white tape and in big red letters was "Halo Reach - Do Not Sell Before 14/09/10.....' All very dramatic. I was a little skeptical in terms of value for money, but managed to secure a pretty good deal by pre-ordering early enough. But what if I'd paid the full RRP.....?
Once out of it's box, the outer packaging of the Legendary edition is very impressive and looks the part. There are two seals that need to be cut through and then the box itself splits into two halves by removing the upper half. Greeting you is the game itself packaged in the special black gift box (again slick and impressive). There is a collection of souvenir maps, postcards, a cotton sew on badge and some plastic tags, and an authentic looking hand-written' journal - which come in their own bubble wrap, 'top secret' resealable wallet.There was also two scratch cards enclosed providing access to downloadable bonus content. Aside from this comes the model itself - which is quite a substantial piece of 'art' in its own right. You have to unpack and then attach the individual guns and affix them to each of the soldiers on the model and once done it's ready for display.
To conclude, I'd say the RRP represents fair value for money, and whilst being one of the more pricier limited edition game packages released, provides a wealth of added extras which are presented it an impressively slick and professional manner where attention to detail has been a priority. Look after properly I can see this package sustaining its collector appeal and therefore its value. If you're a Halo fan and still undecided then I'd say get one - while you still can.....!

I own the Halo 2 limited edition, the Halo 3 lengedary edition and now this. I have to say out of all of them this is by far the best, you get so much stuff for the money and if your anything like me being a massive Halo fan then this is a must have

I just picked this up at my local [...] for [...], and it was fantastic! I'm not going to give a review of the game itself, as you can find loads of them out on the internet, but overall, I would highly recommend the game to anyone.
Now onto the legendary edition itself: The box is big, bigger than that of the Halo 3 Legendary Edition, and you can clearly see that Bungie have put a lot of effort to ensure that every detail is of an acceptable standard making it look like a space crate from the game as much as possible. The box is detailed with small bits of information, addresses and brushed to make it look old. Even the insides and unersde of the box is detailed with the same sort of pattern you would find on the outside. Once you've cut both the pieces of tape from the two sides of the box and slid off the strong binder from the middle, the top part is lifted off from the handle on the top, presenting you with the ONI black box, in its own cellophame wrapper. Once unnwrapped, the insie of the black box can be slid out from the handle on the top, where the game case containing both the game and the DLC codes (which by the way is fantastic!) lays on top of a packet of black bubble wrap containing Halsey's diary, along with all the other so called 'artifacts', which are just extra details and accessories. Next to the black box is a letter written by supposedly Halsey, along with a mini poster-type leaflet telling you about the statue, and how to attach the weapons. Underneath these two leaflets, Bungie even cared to add in the ONI symbol into the polystyrene - now that's commitment! The top half of the polystyrene can be lifted off to reveal the statue of Noble Team wrapped up, along with the detached weapons, each in their own individually wrapped packed. Once unwrapped, you attach the weapons to each of their owners buy means of little pegs and clips. Beware not to break certain protruding or fragile details, such as Jorge's turret handle, or Emile's knife/knife holster. The base is lightweight and hollow, but this is to reduce weight and overall price of the product so it is not a let-down in any way at all. Overall, the statue is an amazing piece of work from the well-renowned McFarlane Toys.
Overall, I would rate this product 10/10.

I got this game with the other stuff, I just used the game the rest went in roof because if you keep it in the box in years to come it be worth alot of money, thats my say.

This version of the game comes with a massive diarorma with the 5 members of noble team. It is worth the extra 30 or so pounds, but only just. Read more
