4.0 out of 5 stars The Master Chief is back! 11 Nov. 2014

Any updates to how the game plays will be placed at the bottom...

Out of all the games this year, this one has been top of my list and like many Xbox gamers I'm guessing you too are a Halo fan, if you aren't then once you play this you soon will be, I myself can remember playing the original on the very first Xbox, it was a transformative game and the remake of the original on xbox 360 was a huge success.

So what is the Master Chief Collection? It's a remake of Halo's 1-4 on the next generation. Everything has been given some graphical stardust with Halo 2 being given the full monty and extra special treatment. All 4 games are on the one disk and can be played in whatever order you want. Indeed you can create custom playlists consisting of different missions from different games. Story wise, Halo is about saving Humanity from the forces of evil, mainly the Covenant, Prometheans and Flood and is spread across the 4 games in different locations. The locations that all 4 games are set in are stunning, indeed you can just stand there sometimes and admire the beauty (and take a few screenshots as you go)

Graphically the game is a masterpiece, sure there are a few areas as you travel around where you notice the odd rock or object that appears "low rent" almost as if the developers forgot about it or had trouble giving it a new look, it's not a deal breaker and to be honest I'm being a bit picky.

Now some may be thinking, they've missed out Halo:ODST or Halo:Reach and you'd be right simply because those games do not feature the Master Chief so don't throw a paddy over it, just accept they're missing for a reason! However, the good news is you can play through all 4 games in co-op over xbox live (dribble dribble drool drool).

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally i get it! 16 Nov. 2014
Platform for Display:Xbox One
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Never was a big Halo fan back when it was 1st released. I was a big PS2 fan and pretty much hated the giant controllers on the original Xbox. Skip forward a few years and how times have changed. I now massively prefer the Xbox One to the PS4 for all the obvious reasons so I decided it was time to play Halo and find out what all the fuss was about. Wow its incredible! And I don't really know why! It just has that special something that great games have. When I'm playing it really feels like I'm playing something special. The way you can press 1 button and it reverts to the old graphics is really fun and shows you just how much work they have actually put into this. I know the online isn't currently working but I'm sure that will be put right soon and until then there are 4 great campaigns to play through. GTA5 was shockingly bad for its online yet people still raved about it.

I believe im in an enviable position to most as I'm experiencing these great games for the 1st time (except 3 and part of 4). If you are in a similar situation to me then you absolutely must get this game! Also its worth an amazing 4500 gamerscore points! It may take a while to unlock them all though!

5.0 out of 5 stars You will not disappointed 7 Dec. 2014
By Neil P.

i played these games on the xbox 360 and loved them, so when I found out they where doing the master chief collection for the xbox one I had to get it. The difference is amazing mostly 60 fps at 1080 p and new cutscenes and soundtrack, if you loved these games before you will not be disappointed. Only played single player missions so far as I know they have been experiencing some bugs with the multiplayer maps. Hopefully that will be sorted out soon. I would recommend this game just for the single player alone. So what are you waiting for. The covenant are waiting. ha.ha

Great game, good campaigns, good graphics. Actually I and my son love it. We`ve played a few games online too. The multiplayer is ok, but still needs some improvement. All in all I am happy with my purchase.

Had this 3 weeks and still yet to get an onlne game. Plagued with multiplayer issues. Game itself is as good as ever for single player but if your hoping to get forthe multiplayer you will be out of luck.

4.0 out of 5 stars The games are great, the nostalgia is there, shame the console is bad.
The nostalgia, great games, and all on one disc. Expect a crap long install time with the xbox one. Would be 5*'s if it was on PC.
