Format:Audio CD
Well, this album is truly excellent. It's one of those CDs that hasn't been discovered by huge numbers of people but that will rival anything else you can get your mitts on.
Psychedelic funk-inspired dark beats with phenomenal playing by the likes of Bootsy Collins, Zakkir Hussein, Laswell himself, William S Borroughs and (most importantly) Wayne Shorter. Shorter, for some reason, seems to slot himself into this space and then further focus it and intensify it in ways that are amazing and exciting.
Production, too, is excellent, though if one were to bitch of overproduction I would counter that the production suits the m/Material perfectly.
If you had any doubts, just get this disc. If you're a big fan of Britney Spears, this CD will stomp on your pathetic brain and turn it into mush.

Format:Audio CD
When Bill Laswell and his crew (here appended with Wayne Shorter and William Burroughs, of all people) are on form as on this disc the world is a better place! Highlights are tracks with a Billy Cobham sample (the Burroughs voice over) and the one with Weather Reports 'Cucumber Slumber'.
