after faking her death, 20 years later her killer brother micheal tracks laurie down!.. laurie is now kerry tate, and working as a head mistress in a private school, and now as a 17 year old son john, ( josh hartnett ). thinking the only fear she has to face is her flashblacks and her protecting her son, is soon dashed as micheal now tracks her and her son down!... gr8 plot and acting, the only annoying bit for me is the part played by hartnett! he and his on screen girlfriend molly can get a tad annoying!. other than that the acting is gr8 and there is gr8 scares! ... jamie lee curtis has said she wanted to do this film to put a end to the halloween films once and for all! spose she did not want them ending up comical like the nightmare on elms st's and friday the 13th's!... but why she went on to do ressurection is beyond me! perhaps she tried to end it but did not work so her only way out of it herself was to be killed off in ressurection!... still, this is a top film! still, not as scary as the original ones but jamie lee helps this film to be nearly as good!.. i still must say that i struggle to learn where he got new eyes from seeing that they were shot out in number 2! guess jamie lee couldnt even answer that herself!. however, a gr8 film, good acting! watch it.
I was dubious originally when this film was made, I had my apprehensions of how they would re-introduce Laurie to the series, although I'm disappointed that 3 - 6 were completely bypassed, however I feel the film would not have worked had the previous films events had been acknowledged. Jamie Lee Curtis proves she is still the "Queen of Scream" This is a perfect addition to your Halloween Collection.

Always have loved the halloween films, think i've got them all now that is except for the new ones didn't like them at all not a patch on the original ones
