Didn't work! 10 April 2011

Fourteen kids stood in a line and took turns pulling the strings. The tension was pretty high as everyone started getting a second turn. Finally, one string left to pull and NOTHING. Such a huge disappointment. The kids ended up beating it out of frustration (so much for keeping it as decoration!) but I couldn't blame them.

Also, who ever packed this item for shipping shoved it into a box and badly bent the ears.

Not my best Amazon purchase.

Small 13 May 2013

The openings of this pinata are very small. Hershey's kisses and bouncy balls would probably work well. I stuffed our pinata with little packages of fruit snacks and fun size M&Ms, and when the kids pulled the strings, nothing really came out. I had to shake it and pull the treats out with my hands.

Another option might be to try and cut a larger opening in the bottom.

... and if you beat it like a regular pinata? 7 Oct 2012

This type of pinata is made to be used with the pull strings on the bottom. We couldn't find any other Batman pinatas, though, so we gave this one a whack (literally). This thing stood up to some serious abuse before breaking enough to let some of the candy out, and we had to rip it apart by hand to get out the rest. If you're like us and are looking for a beat-able Batman pinata, you might want to keep looking. Unless you have a baseball bat. Construction is VERY sound, though the tissue paper on the outside leaves a bit to be desired (the Batman face is a sticker as well).

Batman was a hit 27 Oct 2011
By B - Published on Amazon.com
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
The Pinata was a hit with our 6 year old Batman fan. It was delivered as described, loaded easily, and opened when the correct string was pulled. We had loaded it with candy, bouncing balls and pencils...the pencils were a bit long for the bottom opening so they did block it. We removed the pencils gave it a shake and most of the candy fell easily to the floor. The neat option with this pinata is that it doesn't get 'busted' open so it now sits neatly on top of a bookshelf as an added Batman accessory to the room. The face is just a sticker, but to the 6 year old it is still Batman.

Son loved it for his 5th birthday, and because you only have to pull the strings the pinata is still in tact in his bedroom!
