If you like Anita Blake you will adore Dennison "Danny" Lee. She has it all, she's a werewolf, magi, beautiful and desired by not only her pack males but master vampires too. Although she has one problem she tends to get herself into a lot of trouble.
I loved this book and was excited to find out that it was book one in a series about Danny. Mara Lee writes romance, steamy love scenes and action in a way that you end up reading into the wee hours just to find out what happens next.

Danny Lee is a magi wolf. She is half magi half werewolf and she is the only magi wolf in existence. Danny is fighting to find a balance between her two halves. She left her pack five years ago to escape mating with the alpha. She also left her brother behind and has not talked to him since. She runs her own business and enjoys her independence. Her brother has gone missing and is in danger. She needs help to find and save him. She is forced to rejoin the pack in order to receive the help and information that she needs. The story follows Danny as she travels into foreign territory taking on another alpha and master vampire both of whom want to acquire the magi wolf. Will Danny be able to find her brother safely and will she have to give up more of herself to do so? Will she be able to find love?
Half Wed Moon is a unique story that is well written and interesting to read. Mara Lee wrote about the inner working and politic of the magical community and built a drama filled story around it. The story has exciting sex scene. The interactions between the characters are never boring and it is impossible to guess what is coming next in the story. Danny is a strong woman who was almost ignoring half of who she is but due to her brother disappearance is forced to deal with herself and the men who want her.
I was a first a little disappointing at the ending until I realize there is another part to the story on the way. I felt as if I was left in the middle of the story and waiting for the ending. I enjoyed this story even though I did not find a lot of romantic elements. Half Wed Moon is an entertaining, exciting and fast moving read.
