5.0 out of 5 stars At last! 26 Feb 2012
What a wonderful, delicious and nutritious spread! And native to these shores, too. Far superior in taste than other seaweeds. Impossible to purchase from shops.

5.0 out of 5 stars great taste of wales 8 Jun 2012
i actually buy this product direct from Parsons Pickles own website, 10 tins at a time, it has a long shelf life so no worries if you don't want to eat it quickly. You can buy it in some Asda's in South Wales and have also bought it from C.j.'s supermarkets when I have been on the Gower and of course, there is always Swansea Market. I live in Shropshire, so its great for me to be able to buy this online. Am considering this now, especailly with being able to set up a regular delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great taste of Wales. 26 May 2012

After a visit to Gower (Swansea)2 years ago; where i originally come from . I felt the urge to try once again what my Grandmother always did with a fry-up on a Saturday lunch time. Living in the West Country i thought theres no chance of getting to try lavabread again without going back to Wales. After doing an online search i discovered that Amazon sell Lavabread in tins made by Parsons of Bury Port. So i had to buy it and see if it was the same as i remember......It was just as good as all those years ago in the 60's. I mixed a can with oatmeal and fried it in a little oil as i had no bacon fat , and they came out amazingly good. I can thoroughly recomend this product to anyone who wants to try a special taste of wales !!

Normally purchase this product when regularly visiting South Wales, but not only is it difficult to buy outside of the principality, I now find that most of the supermarkets fail to have stocks of it within the principality, certainly not in Swansea.
A delicious delicacy.

For many years I have enjoyed Laverbread during visits to Family in Wales, but have never been able to buy it in England. As a result of this We have always had to bring it back with us from Wales. Now at last I have found it on Amazon were the price is good and the delivery service excellent. The product is of first class quality. I am a very happy customer. Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cook with real oats not oatmeal! 21 April 2012

This laver bread, mixed with oats and a little mustard to make fried patties, augment the start up, the Britsh isles are built on, perfectly! served best on top of fried potatoe scone along side smoked bacon, fried button mushrooms and fried eggs* (*and square sausage if you are in Scotland at the time of doing so!) Try serving with a cup of tea left to brew in a teapot first!

5.0 out of 5 stars laverbread.
This is certainly up to the mark despite it being in a tin. Tin holds adequate amount. Goods well packed so no chance of dented tins.

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely an acquired taste
But doubt that it is one I will ever acquire. Found it too slimy to be palatable, though that may have been due to trying too much at one go - a little goes a long way.
