As i said when i reviewed the previous book, i don't like si-fi.
These books have me hooked though.
There are very few wiered and wonderful sounding names that you need to get your head round every few pages.
Just a very good page turner of a story.
I have already purchased the next book in the series and can't wait to get started.

I just finished reading this on the train home today and I thought it was fantastic.
Got the feeling you sometimes get at the end of a book of being disappointed it's over because you want it to just keep going on and on.
Hal is again his blundering, insensitive self and the addition of the love interest for him to fail hopelessly with is great.
Clunk and the Navcom manage to save the day in spite of Hal's best efforts. The baddies get what's coming to them!
I love all the references to software drivers, licensing, help files and the whole crazy technical world we now think of as normal.
I'll be downloading the next one ASAP; and the next, and the next.

The second Hal Spacejock novel I've read and it is just as good and as hilarious as the first. These are a great series of books and it's a damn shame that they aren't more well known.
So far I've found them to be much, much better than many more well-known series. Well-written, fun, entertaining plots, great characters and there was something to make me laugh on every page.
