'This is wonderfully funny book of friendship in which Hettie, the hairy Highland cow ends up having all sorts of insects and animals living in her fur throughout the seasons. From caterpillars and butterflies to birds and hares, Hettie looks after them all but as Spring arrives her friends become quite wriggly and fidgity and for Hettie that's the final straw. But just how does she get rid of everyone? Charming and funny, not only is it a story showing the importance of tolerance and friendship but it also provides a lesson in seasons too. The text is brought to life by Jo Allan's lively illustrations.' -- Julia Eccleshare, LoveReading4Kids
