I love the poems in this book. They are so wide-ranging and touch home so movingly the feelings we have about hair and how we love/hate having it brushed and combed as children, the closeness of a mother's care, the wild styles some adopt in adolescence, how we learn to love our hair and the sadness in the appearance of the first grey hairs. There's also some styling tips and good (very short) stories. I will get it for my children so they learn to feel good about their own body image. It's an excellent family book and should be in schools and colleges too!
