Risking a big flap
Some people just can't help putting their foot in it. However, this waste box is different. The Big-Box® 40 has a flap made of strong, impact-resistant plastic with an elegant disposal recess. The design-optimised shape of the lid makes it easy to fill the box. The swing lid with notches then closes by itself. All mouth and no action is not a term that applies here: thanks to an extra large volume, it holds up to 40 litres. It is also mobile, as clip-on castors are available as accessories.

This bin arrives flat packed. Make sure you all four panels the right way up before assembly! It looks flimsey but when assembled it is fine. I paid extra for the wheels. The bin flaps open downwards which does use some of the space. but I do not mind. I use very cheap Lidl bin bags in it. So is is cheap to use.
The flap opening is great. You can push them open fully and then it will remain open if you are putting messy or larger things in it. Or you just drop things in and they close themselves. But the best is that if looks great, fits in the narrow space I have in my kitchen, where a round one would not and I would have to use a much small round bit if I did want one to fit. It is not obtrusive to look at and you can very easily wheel it to stand beside you as you work. No need to run to the bin. When doing piles of veg, I roll is to me and leave it open, leaving me freen to peel straight into it if I want and to drop my egg shells or whatever, in the bin; Then when I'm finished , just easily roll it back.
I have tried pedal bins, swing top, and dome top bins and even those remote control open bins (which were a dissater as it would open on its own or not open when you wanted it to)but this it perfect for me.
It is easy to clean and if you are prepared to go with this new design and add the wheels, I think you wont be disappointed.

Have just had a new kitchen and needed a bin to fit inside a larder cupboard . There are lots of bins that fitted but because most bin lids flip up there wasn't enough space to actually put anything in the bin as the lids would catch on the top of the cupboard. The only way around this seemed to be to get a much smaller bin but a 20l bin for a family of 5 isn't really sufficient or to have a bin without a lid which might of been a bit smelly . I came across this bin after lots of searching in shops and on line. Size wise it's great it fits perfectly in the space we have and because it opens inwards we still have a decent sized bin in a relatively small space. It arrives flat packed and is a bit fiddly to put together but once assembled looks good and feels pretty substantial.
Very happy with this product although it's a little expensive. Instructions for assembly could be clearer. Apart from that it's an ideal size for your kitchen and you don't need to hide it because it's quite stylish.
