Worth it alone for the beautiful JAH HEAVY LOAD. The track listing here is wrong there is only 4 tracks; 1.Jah Heavy Load 2.Jah is no secret 3.Zion Hut 4.I'm a Levi. Released on Island Records 1978. ONE LOVE xxx

I JahMan isn't just a reggae singer and his music isn't just reggae....it's religion. If you've read any of my other reviews, you'll know how much I enthuse about good music.But this is beyond the norm. This is an invitation to accept the hand of Jah. If you are suffering, you will take great inspiration from the load that you are carrying. I'm not joking. I JahMan will leave you in tears of happiness for the life that Jah has given you.
If you are looking for RASTAFARI,not reggae, look no further.
Amazon allow me to give this album a maximum of 5 stars, but that's like trying to compare Heaven with my living room.

I have been listening to this fantastic, mellow and inspirational album on and off for over 20 years and am quite suprised at how few reviews there are here. If you think you might like a bit of spiritual, multi-layered, trancelike reggae, something to simply lie back to and drift away with on a lazy, carefree afternoon, then this is well worth checking out. Definitely one of my "Desert Island discs".

(strangely enough, the rest of Ijahman's material is more melodic and dare I say "commercial", certainly NOT up to the standard of this album)
