This is a very big book, more than 600 pages and crammed full of sumptuous examples of Zaha's many and varied works from sketch drawings to furniture interior and industrial design and her many recently realised buildings. She clearly has an astonishing gift for beauty of form and line and her buildings are uncompromisingly elegant and excitement abounds everywhere. I havn't yet read right through it which is going to take quite some time but I would recommend it as astounding value for the price. So why only 4 stars? - well, Zaha must have a dark side to her nature because the images are almost invariably a bit underexposed and some are really very dark indeed. This seems to have been done for artistic reasons to give a slightly sinister and mysterious look to everything but even the daylight shots look a bit gloomy. Her buildings and interiors tend not to look that way in reality I would have preferred to see them as bright as they actually are, although I would understand those who prefer the artistic interpretation. Still - a must have for any Architect or Zaha fan.

Beautiful book, stunning imagery! I bought this for a friend and they were delighted!! Whilst I don't know much about this sort of design it's easy to tell that this book is well thought out and out together and is a visual feast even if you aren't interested in the content. Very heavy and completely worth it!
