Well I suppose you get what you pay for whilst I love cooking etc I don't like spending money. Stupidly I thought that stick blenders were all the same and it was just the brand name that put the price up. I fully admit I was wrong. This must be the worst blender I have come accross. Why? simple it doesn't blend anything. It's noisy and frankly it just doesn't fit in the hand very well. The two speeds it claims are simple 'slow' and 'very slow'. The motor simply isn't powerful enough for even the simplest of jobs and there was a faint burning smell when I used it on even just blending up some cooked peas. If it can't cope with something this basic then there is no way it could cope with anything else.
After about a month this was consined to the bin and I bought a higher priced one - but trust me it was worth it.

I've now had 2 of these blenders, and they've both been awful. The motor of the first burned out after a few routine blending jobs. The second had a strange rattle from the very first time I used it. The model seems to create excessive splash when blending. Do yourself a favour: spend a bit more and get a decent brand.

I got these to blend soup with. they burnt out the first time i used them and i still had to get the kenwood chef out to finish blending the soup. don't bother with them. I ended up spending more money and am really happy with the next one i brought.

Wonderful
This is perfect for blending food for babies, not one single lump. Easy to clean, light weight and easy to store.

Cheap & Cheerful but OK for my use
I agree with other comments that it is a basic item but I wanted to use it to mix up powdered soups and shakes as I am on a special diet. Read more
