This book is an excellent resource for anybody looking to test the security of their e-mail service, or wanting to learn more about their email security and penetration testing.

The book is focused specifically on email security and testing, and doesn't stray from this into other realms of IT security. It is split into helpful chapters which lead through the process of creating a better test plan for email security and covered many aspects on this which I had not considered.

The writing is clear and concise, with occasional diagrams which are also helpful. The information is well thought out and easy to digest, which is not always the case with books on IT. The book provides an introduction which explains exactly what is covered and importantly, what it assumes you already understand. Because of this the writing is never patronising, or covering the basics of IT security as if you are a complete novice.

Ultimately if you are looking to learn about IT security and hacking in general, then there are other books which cover a wider range of subjects. However if you are specifically interested in how to improve your e-mail security and conduct better tests of your system, this book will provide you with all you need to know.

I had to give this book a 5 star rating.
This is a precisely, well thought out and well written e-book. I must say, I am very impressed. It caters to IT security professionals and people interested in computer security or the subject matter in general. I myself am simply interested in the subject itself and found this to be a very interesting and easy read and I have learnt a great deal from it. It may be an easy read yet it still manages to be very informative and knowledgeable at the same time. Each of the pages is jam packed full of information you needn't go elsewhere to find out more because it's all right here. I highly recommend this e-book, it will not let you down. Excellent value for money, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for future releases from this author.

HASH(0x965a0ea0) out of 5 stars For Even The Best IT Security Professional! 8 Dec. 2013

To the untrained eye, this book may seem like your every day informational guide. I found it to be an intriguing and fact filled book that truly helped me to understand the holes in my email security.

I appreciate the "review" at the end of each chapter, going through everything that was learned previously. It made it very easy to build upon the information that I was getting. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable in this field, but reading this book taught me that you can never learn enough, as things are always changing.

Hi Timur,

"E-Mail Hacking for IT Security Professionals" its very interesting and knowledgeable. As, I would personally learn
alot from the ebook. Its quite interesting to know the techniques how to test and secure the application. It provides lot of info with
different scenarios in email security covers up in the book. By reading the book I came to know that there is much more to learn , its easy to understand and to implement.

As, I'm a test analyst the scenarios and scope for testing may help me alot in making the application secure, and
ensure good quality results of testing by the information provided in the book.

Thanks for the book with interesting information.
