From 1982 - 1997, 15 years of club culture have been put together in one collection showing the progression of club anthems through the years. With contemporary hits from Armand Van Helden (The Funk Phenomena), The Bucketheads (The Bomb), Basement Jaxx (Fly Life) as well as some old classics like New Order/Rockers Revenge (Confusion/ Walking On Sunshine), Alison Limerick (Where Love Lives), Dee Lite (Wild Times), and Londonbeat (There's an Acid House Going On), this is a great diverse collection.

This an excellent cd considering it is limited to one label
(although it is a big one). If you look at the track listing it is loaded with classics.

Where it loses a star is the fact it is mixed - mixing should be live or not at all. There is no involvement from Graeme Park, arguably the best DJ involved with the Hacienda. The early stuff is a little light-weight when compared to the 88-92 stuff, which is lacking from the collection (particualrly 91). The later stuff 92+ cannot compare because of the commercial aspect to most of the tunes. Star tune has to loletta hollaway love sensation, followed by sharlor and then riche rich.

There were alot better tunes done that could have been used e.g. come and get my lovin. However you will never get round this because different labels own the rights!
