The owner of The Gamekeeper, a nice toy store in Amsterdam, said that this was the best game he had in his store (and he had tons). And it is a lot of fun to play--each player gets a number of animals, which you have to stack on top of the crocodile, until they fall. Yes, you need a surface with some fricion, and a little room to roll the die, but that's all you need. Well, you need motor skills, and you need to learn to wait your turn, and to count--but that was probably the point of the whole game. My 2 1/2 year-old daughter is learning this quickly, and this game helps a lot.
Oh, the animals are really cool: all nicely made, of wood, with nice colors. They'll last forever. Great game, great fun.
