Format:Paperback
As someone who writes websites professionally for a variety of clients including a well know celebrity and an eCommerce site utilising Paypal I started off with this book and it is a fantastic way to start with clear easy to understand langauge and examples. Depsite it's age it's still the best book for learning and the one I reccomend... I guarantee anyone can learn the basics.
As a paperback it's also light enough to carry around and read on the bus, train, plane or wherever. You might look like a geek or a techie but you'll be learning.

This book landed on my doorstep two hours ago and I'm already writing my own web pages - yes its that good. HTML is daunting for beginners and this book takes you in gently with working examples that you can tailor for yourself to get professional results quickly. I will be supplementing this book with another, more advanced HTML book, but I would recommend this book to anyone just starting out.
