Very good product but expensive
Pros:
1- Nice design
2- Exact fit for the desire HD (can use all the ports and buttons as well as take photos)
3- Good build quality
4- Can be used even as a office stand
5- Comes with a car charger
Cons:
1- Expensive
2- Short arm for the holder (so if you have a far car wind-shield from you it will be a problem, you will need to mount it on the dashboard)
3- Can't be used with a phone cover
Note: use a clean surface and some moister for a firm hold

I love my HTC Desire HD but, if I had to level one criticism at it, it would be how battery hungry it is. Quite often I can't get through a twelve hour day without needing to feed it some juice so having an in car charging solution is essential.
I have also started to rely more and more on Google Maps Navigation on the phone and less and less on my in car sat nav which (amongst several annoyances) can not take a full UK postcode - this necessitates a windscreen mounted holder for the phone.
The holder in this car upgrade package is the best I have seen. The sucker fixes very easily and firmly to the windscreen and the swivel mount allows you to position your phone in your line of sight without obscuring your view of the road. This is an official HTC accessory and the quality really shows. The design of the "claw" into which you actually attach the phone is elegant and minimalist with just enough flex to make it easy to get the phone in and out of it but enough rigidity to hold it safely and firmly. Unlike some holders I have used the entire assembly does not suffer from any vibration or shaking making it easy to keep an eye on the screen.
The charger cable is long enough to reach with ease from any cigarette lighter location and comes with the nice touch that when plugged in one can optionally switch the phone straight into the car dashboard mode (an option I have turned off as I use Google Maps for Navigation rather than the paid for Navigation app which integrates with this dashboard).
You might baulk a little at the price tag but, rest assured, you won't find a higher quality alternative and I think it is worth every penny.

The "claw" holds the phone, even though the Desire HD is quite heavy, without problem. Can adjust angle/orientation easily and tighten to keep that orientation with the nut behind the claw. Comes with an alcohol pad to clean the area you are going to attach it to on your windscreen.
Fitted this in a VW Golf VI, was worried at first that the charger cable might be a coiled (like old telephone cords)type that I'd seen in some images, as I'd been advised that it was possible to hide the cable that comes from the cigarette lighter socket adapter in the space around the steering column. Cable was straight thankfully, slightly longer than the cable that comes with the phone. Also had a movable sucker on it to help keep it out of the way. All in all it's a good product, only thing I'd complain about is it's a little pricey if you consider a lighter socket to USB adapter can be bought for ~£3, USB to micro USB cable for £3-4, and a generic mount for around about a £10 (paid £30 for this one vs £16 for combination of non HTC generic parts).

Tried cheaper models spend the money and buy this one
I have an HTC desire HD. Tried cheaper versions but this one is rock solid. Treat you expensive smartphone to a bit of luxury you won't regret it

Excellent caddy
Perfect for my Desire HD and attaches to the windscreen very well, rotates easily and is all-in-all an excellent device. Charger is long enough to stretch where you need it too.
