I must admit that when I first got this phone I was not totally impressed, but after over a year of use, this phone has become an essential part of my life.
The touch flo software has made the phone very user friendly and is a huge improvement over the standard Microsoft U.I. The screen is bright and crisp and the internal speaker is great for hands free use.
Making a call is simple as the alpha numeric keypad can be used to access your contacts, and call reception is good.
Battery life also seems to hold up well even when the little phone is used for Satnav and Multiedia use. I love to watch films while traveling and you can watch a couple of movies and still have 1/2 the battery left.
Considering the relatively low powered processor the phone seems to manage all tasks quickly enough, playback of Divx movies played on the free and excellent TCPMP movie player is surprisingly flicker free.
The phone is let down by the low memory capacity, satnav software will take up most of the phone's memory. I have had to re-install programs in differing order in order to fit my most essential software on-board, but I've managed it. I currently have my device running Co-Pilot and the new Opera 9 browser, even though the latter often requests more memory. If you consider the plus points of having such a useful and versitile device in such small form factor, the positives definately outway the negatives.
In summation this phone does everything it is supposed to do and does it well. It is a discreet yet powerful work tool. HTC have hit on a winner here.
I recently got a touch Pro as a replacement and have found myself switching back to the Touch as it by far a more practical and reliable device.
