This is the first time I've bought the manufacturers car kit for any of my phones.
The difference is that this is a quality product that works, something that couldn't be said of any of my previous purchases. So, if you want something that will be used and not left in the glovebox, don't waste your money on a £5 product, get this.

This is an excellent item once you work out how to fit it. It works fine and holds the phone excellently. It is a little fiddly to insert the phone but once on it holds it well. Always in landscape mode on my car but that is okay. The only reservation is it jumps the phone into a maps mode which requires an upgrade every time. There is probably something in settings to stop this but i haven't found it.
Other than that which is probably not down to the holder - though it is made by HTC - it is an excellent product.

Very very good. For the price I was expecting high quality build and an item that does not feel like it would fall apart, which this holder for fills, sticks (or sucks w/e) to a good flat surface extremely well. I have a HTC Sensation XE and it fits perfectly, very quick and easy to place in the holder and to remove and the camera can see past the housing if you have a video recording of driving. I love the charger part of it, no need to worry about plugging extra cables in just shove the phone in and go, this feature is defiantly worth the extra few pounds.
Just so you know the holder does need to be plugged into the cars 12v plug, it does not have a battery in the holder. Very good video review on youtube: [...]
