HTC ChaCha has a Facebook button that lets you share just about anything with just one touch. Take a photo — straight to Facebook. Make a video — straight to Facebook. Show whatever, whenever, at the touch of a button.

Surf the web in style

Surf from one website to another with multiple browsing windows, zoom in and out of a page, and watch the text resize automatically on screen so you don’t waste time panning left and right. You can even highlight text and quickly look up what you’re reading about on Google, Wikipedia or YouTube.

All your email accounts in one box

If you’ve got a work email and a private one, your HTC Cha Cha helps keep you on top of things by merging the accounts together into one inbox. All the emails are colour coded, so you know what’s what, and you can sort them by importance, groups or content.

Chat room with all your friends
Chat with all your friends on Facebook

Chat room with all your friends

Chat with all your friends on the world’s biggest social networking site. HTC ChaCha’s Facebook chat widget means you can group all your friends together, and see when anyone is online. Start a live instant chat, and juggle between as many private conversations as you want. The conversation never ends with HTC ChaCha.

Beats on the go

Whether it’s Rhianna or the Beatles, your HTC Cha Cha lets you listen to all your favorite tunes straight from your in—built music player. No need to bring a separate MP3 player, with the support for microSD cards, there’s enough space to store heaps of your favorite tunes. Now you’re free to sing along to your heart’s content.

Type like a demon
Lots of things you want to say

Snap and share in an instant

Whether it’s evidence of a night out with friends, a lucky shot of some rare wildlife, or a funny picture you’ve just been sent, it’s easier to snap and share with HTC Cha Cha. Just grab it, upload it and tag it for all your friends to see.

Superfast Typing

Lots of friends, lots of things you want to say. HTC ChaCha comes with a QWERTY keyboard, so you can knock out your messages fast. Whether it’s an email, a new Facebook posting, or instant message chat, you can now knock 'em out like a champ.

Facebook your entire phone

Your friends are your life, so you want to be close to them. That’s why HTC Cha Cha comes with a load of Facebook widgets that bring you closer to them. Like a clock with a Facebook stream of updates as a ticker, and a Calendar widget so you never miss your friends’ birthdays and events. You can also follow your special favourites and all their news with the Friend Stream widget. With HTC Cha Cha, you’re no longer a friend — you’re a super—friend.

Cha Cha? Could they really not think of anything better to call it? Really?

Get the ridiculous name and there is a very impressive phone.

Firstly, the look - the first thing it reminded me of was one of those scientific calculators that I wasnt allowed to take into my GCSE's many years ago, it has got a certain retro chic about it though but it's not the most manly of phones.

It's main selling point is the keyboard, perfect for us of a certain age who cant handle this new fangled touch screen thing, it feels really substantial and makes texting/emailing a wonderfully simple experience - one minor quibble - the spacebar is a touch small.

Reading reviews online it seems that the main criticism is the screen size, sure it's not the biggest but it's perfectly adequate with great definition, I certainly wouldnt have wanted a bigger screen at the expense of the keyboard - I suppose it depends on what your priorities are as to which you would prefer. The touch screen is responsive and a pleasure to use.

So, onto internet use - it's fast and smooth and handles the majority of websites without a problem. Yes sometimes you have to zoom in/out of some pages but that simply isnt an issue to me and if youre after an all singing and dancing internet experience you shouldnt really be looking at a phone that is geared to text/email/social networking.

Talking of social networking, onto the facebook button - if youre a regular poster on fb then its fantastic - letting you post pretty much anything in 1 button press.

Battery life is better than average for an Android smart phone, easilly lasts the day with pretty heavy use. It charges quickly too.

As, at the end of the day, it is actually a phone I'll mention the call experience - its been perfect since I've had the phone, no problems at all with reception or call quality - certainly better than my previous nokia and sony (which the cha cha replaced).

2 minor quibbles. The charger lead gets in the way of the keyboard if you use it when charging and the screen suffers if used in bright light/sun - these are very very minor though and dont stop me giving this 5 stars and my highest recommendation.

Angry Birds works brilliantly too.

Great Piece Of Kit. 7 July 2011

The Cha Cha replaced a Sony Xperia Mini Pro which I was not at all happy with. I stuck with it for three months and then moved on the to HTC Cha Cha. My main reason for buying this mobile was I needed another mobile with a proper QWERTY keyboard. Compared to the Sony it's lightning quick, especially when using the Internet on 3G. Battery longevity is not too bad. A full day with average use.

HTC aftermarket service is very good, unlike Sony. You can actually phone them and speak to somebody very quickly.

Camera is pretty good, auto focus is a nice touch, and HTC provide lots of free goodies to load on the phone once you register with them. (There is an HTC app available that turns the camera LED flash into a torch).

Overall, this is a well thought out mobile, easy to use and has all the facilities I need. It is however quite a large phone and if you are looking for a dinky slim mobile this will not suit you. It's pretty big and fairly heavy. You could say it feels well built. It's about the same size as a Blackberry.

One thing that is not easy though is removal of the rear case to insert your sim card. It's pretty tight.

Well worth a five star rating though.

Best phone. Ever. 31 Aug 2011
I absolutely love my ChaCha!! It must be the best phone anywhere for social and business. What other phone can you use to send an urgent coherent message on a real keyboard while bouncing up and down in a taxi.. and instantly post to Facebook status or photos.. and use all manner of cool android apps.. and keep up with friends on skype chat.. and keep up with friends on Facebook chat.. aaaand freely surf internet.. ..and organise your tasks and your life... The answer is currently none. This phone eats Blackberry for breakfast! This phone totally and utterly rocks!! :)

Combining the keyboard with a great touchscreen is genius. You can get great apps and use the phone more quickly and enjoyably than a non-touchscreen phone. It's not the biggest touchscreen, but if you're a sociable person that isn't the point - you've got much better things to do and organise with friends than say waste time watching movies alone on a tiny screen! If anything the small touchscreen can be an asset as it can force you to focus on being productive and interacting with people.

The phone also looks great, especially the white and silver back which has to be contender for the most gorgeous phone back out there. The only three real downers are a) that they skimped on the quality of the silver panel at front and so it scratches easily, and b) the phone is slippery and easily dropped if one isn't careful c) you can't save draft skype messages and regular messaging can jump a bit too easily between screens (although handily regular messages are always autosaved:) )for reasons I haven't yet figured out. The cheap easy solution to 2/3 of those? Buy a clear gel cover with your phone.

This phone is perfect with an unlimited internet pay as you go or contract arrangement (I use one provided by 3) - this supercharges the phone and gives you the most out of its awesome functionality wherever you are.

This phone is a clear winner blowing Blackberry out of the water. 5/5.
