Brilliant sound 16 Jan 2012
By Gled23
This is my second Onkyo product purchase. It's absolutley fantastic the best thing i've ever purchased. Blu ray movies just sound stunning (Gladiator is mental). The only draw back i'd say is when i turned it up to 60db i was watching The Last Samurai, it was the scence when there in the woods it cut out and went off completely i had to give it a minute to cool down before i switched it back on again. But it's back working fine now. You would never really want to that volume because really you'd need some ear defenders in to protect your ears but i was just testing it out to see what it could do. It's simple to set up and after a little bit of internet digging i sorted out the best configuration for the sound, Crossover frequency and large or small speakers. If you have sky then the only way to get Dolby 5.1 is through an optical cable and set it up within the menu. This is because sky don't support 5.1 through HDMI yet. Games through the XBOX360 sound amazing as well it's pure quality and at £500 for the full system is a bargain. I'm very happy and very impressed with my purchase.
