THESE BULBS NEED A SUITABLE 400w HPS BALLAST OR THEY WILL NOT LIGHT. Finelite branded bulbs. Accept no alternative. These bulbs are probably the best value grow bulbs on the market and can be used throughout the whole growing cycle.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL HPS AND MH BULBS NEED A SUITABLE BALLAST AND CANNOT RUN DIRECT FROM THE MAINS WITHOUT ONE. SALE IS FOR REPLACEMENT BULB ONLY.
Metal Halide 400w also available. MH bulbs give off a whiter white, often used an car workshops for bright light to work by.

cant understand why theres no other reviews on this its worth writing 1 here goes
this is a grow bulb you get the bulb its self so if your looking for a grow light you need the following
this 400w bulb
400w hps compatible ballast £71 <<<< (IMPORTANT MUST HAVE)
also the reflector £29
its a great bulb and it works ive had my plants under it now for 2 weeks they growing just fine i can not fault this bulb 1 bit its great the light it gives off is wonderful best light spectrum ive ever seen the light almost makes you wanna grow
well there is a down side it costs alot to run it costing me like 70p a day and it does get hot my grow room is still at 40c or 100F its hard to get the temp down
but apart from that its a great bulb and i will be buying another no worries on that, shipping was fast too only took 5 days for free shipping thats amazing great purchase.
Update:
now using a second bulb by these guys (PresenceUK.) and my plants love it again only took 5 days to be delivered but the bad thing is these bulbs they need replacing every 10 months after that all these lights do is keep em alive thats it no growth after 10 months the old bulb still works but i guess not giving the same light as it did wen it was new. they need replacing im the type of guy that will run things till they die out on me, 10 months is all i had the first bulb for before i started getting growth problem now with new bulb i can really see a difference.....

i ordered 3 off these lights @ not the same time they where not working right away but it was down to the ballast i was useing even it not being there fault they refunded me right i class them as a good fast company............
