    I'm writing this on my hx4700 itself. I've never liked laptops and a pocket pc seemed my best choice for mobile computing.

    I spent a long time researching and it paid off. The next best seemed to be the lifedrive and I'm so pleased I settled on this instead, having seen others having problems with them.

    The screen is fantastic. The inbuilt software surprised my friends who have other mobile pc's. It does everything I want, straight out of the box, and thanks to its expandability, if it doesn't do everything you want on day one, you can add to it. It even comes with free software download credits which you can use to get additional programs from a wide range.

    I can't recommend it highly enough.

    The new HP iPAQ 4700 media companion is the most advanced PDA on todays market.

    Far outclassing all other handheld computers with its powerful 624MHz processor and high Ram value [192MB] this is definately the best PDA for the power user or for those that don't want to have to upgrade for at least a year or so.

    The HP iPAQ 4700 comes with both a SDIO Secure Digital Slot and a Compact Flash [CF] slot allowing memory expansion via a MicroDrive/CF/SD/MMC memory Card for the storing of important documents or allowing you to turn your iPAQ PDA into a MP3 Player. Both SD and CF expansion allows you to expand your functionality with PDA Accessories such as cameras, scanners and Modems.
    This is one of the few PDAs to incorporate both types of expansion slot giving you the user complete flexibility on how you wish to modify and utilise your pocket pc.

    A broad range of features, Bluetooth, WiFi, expansion capabilities and multimedia make the HP iPAQ 4700 handheld essential for you to communicate, access and manage information when you want, how you want. Bluetooth, wifi and Infrared allow you to simply access the internet or email whenever you please regardless of where you are. In addition these forms of communication allow you to synchronise information with other handheld devices, laptops, mobile phones and desktop computers easily and accurately.

    The range of software is easy to use reflecting the most popular basics you use on your home or office pc everyday. With the HP iPAQ 4700 comes Mobile Office 2003 providing cut down versions of Word, Excel and Outlook allowing you to remain productive and access your documents at all times.     I love this PDA, even though I have had it back for repair 6 times!!.. I had so many problems with it when I first got it in 2005.. Problems included screen not switching on, random freezing problems, screen corruption..

    But now the warranty has expired, but its still working and hasn't gone wrong for over a year now... So yes its a great PDA and people still are quite amazed when they see it even though its fairly old now.

    Great when it works, hope you don't get as many problems as i did with it initially..
