I learnt the hard way that cheap photo paper gives you cheap prints. Obvious really when you think about it, but there is no doubt that using the manufacturer's own brand paper gives the best photos. High street own label papers I found particularly poor, often giving a metallic 'bronzing' sheen on the print. I spent a lot of money on a good HP photo printer so always buy HP paper now. Same goes for inks, so-called compatibles may be all right for office documents but are a waste of money for photos.

Absolutely appalled. I ordered this HP Premium Plus paper from buyabook on Monday of this week and the package that they sent me arrived yesterday, containing an OPENED box of paper - the serrated security closure strip had been completely removed and the box had been resealed with sellotape. Without opening the box here, it is easy to tell that the paper inside does not fill the box depthwise, so it seems safe to assume that a fair bit of the paper has been used. I also have no guarantee that the box even contains the paper I ordered. It could have been replaced with lesser quality. The security closure would no way come off accidentally. It's a serrated cardboard closure that has to be torn away vigorously. I emailed buyabook yesterday, requesting either a full refund for these goods and associated postage costs yesterday - or replacement with an UNOPENED box of HP Premium Plus Paper and a full refund of my postage costs for the impending return of the opened box to buyabook. I will post progress on this here, as it happens....

I am thinking of buying some of this paper. I note that the rating for this product has been reduced by a bad experience with a supplier. Not the supplier of the product reviewed. This is surely wrong. Complaints about an Amazon supplier is not to be confused with a product review. Ebay has seller (and buyer) feedback. Amazon has product reviews. I want to read an unbiased product review, this is an important feature that Amazon provides that helps me to make a buying decision.
To help redress the balance I have read HP's own specification for this paper as being their best so have given it five stars. If subsequently I feel after buying the product that I have been over generous I'll post an amendment.
