I paid £19 for an HP Magenta 88XL cartridge direct from Amazon in January 2014 and received an 88XL cartridge dated for use until November 2015, and the same goes for my 88XL Cyan, Yellow and Black cartridges I also ordered direct from Amazon at the same time - I always keep a spare of each colour. As expected these 88XL cartridges work perfectly with my home office HP Office Jet Pro K550 printer. If you don't have your old cartridge, check with HP online for the correct one for your printer. These 88 XL cartridges are 'high yield' and contain more ink (17.1 ml) than the standard HP 88 (9 ml) cartridges (so they should print around twice as many pages). They are typically £24 each for Magenta, Cyan and Yellow, rising to nearer £35 for the larger 88 XL (58.9 ml) black cartridge. I no longer buy generic recycled ink cartridges as I get better reliability with the HP branded inks (I'm sure the recycled inks killed off my last HP printer). Apparently this HP ink is more expensive than vintage champagne per ml, but it lasts a bit longer in use and always prints reliably, plus Amazon prices are generally quite competitive with fast overnight delivery for me as I have Amazon Prime, so 5*. The 'direct from Amazon' option should be under 'More buying choices' at the top right in the listing if they have them in stock.
