I use a laptop and find the mice for laptops too small for comfortable usage.
I tried a wireless mouse - logitech m310,which fit my hand nicely but was hopeless on most surfaces and rather laggy. Having been put off by my experience of a wireless mouse, I went back to a wired option. I have found logitech mice very disappointing so went for a different make, the HP KY61AA (wow, how did they come up with such a sexy name!)
What a joy after the Logitech M310. The HP is a snug fit for my hand, and tracks on the surfaces I want it to : trouser, cushion, carpet etc, whilst using my laptop. There is no software and no fancy things it can do, like go and make a cup of tea for you. Just plug and play. It's a little 'clicky' but I've yet to find a quiet mouse. And the scroll wheel button is smooth and very quiet - not clicky or clunky like some. I'm very pleased with its performance and would recommend this if you are not looking for your mouse to do clever things. Just solid reliable basic functions.
The price on Amazon goes up and down like a yo-yo, but I bought this when it went under a tenner, as I think that's plenty for a basic mouse.
The only downside as far as using it for a laptop goes is obviously the long wire - but I'd rather that than a poor laggy wireless mouse any day. And for a desktop pc this would be perfect.
