I ordered on of these a few days ago for under £150 (inc. VAT) as it was an open box product. It arrived the next day with no documents missing (in fact the pack of documentation hadn't been opened) and the PDA was unused along with everything in the box that was supposed to be there.
I was surprised at how small and light it was and the unit didn't get hot even while charging. I'm a university student and I use it mainly to keep track of my lectures and contacts. My campus has many wireless hotspots so it's very easy to get emails and access the net using the built in wifi. Obviously battery life varies with usage but on average I charge it once every few days.
The built in storage and memory is fairly small and things start to slow down if you run too many programs. The lack of storage isn't an issue however as I've ordered a 2 GB SD card which will allow me to use the device as a good sized mp3 player. The 320x240 display is very clear and easy to read.
It lost one star as it doesn't have Bluetooth which would have been useful for transferring files from my phone, although it does have an IR port so it's still possible.

This really is a nice piece of kit. Windows built in. I connected to my ISP with no problem and set up two email accounts. The built in wifi works very well. The low on-board memory can easily be solved by popping an SD card in the top of the unit.(No unscrewing panels to get to it!) I have inserted a 2gb card which is more than adequate. I read my e-books on it play music and videos. The battery life is a vast improvement over earlier models and shouldn't cause problems when you're out and about.
A good all rounder and it looks pretty cool too. A purchase worth making. Go and get yourself one.

Was delivered the next day which was great. It should do all I want it to do, it is small, light and easy to carry around. It did, however, suffer from the same problem as my previous IPAQ with the battery inexplicably going flat and the device needing a soft reset to get it going again when attaching the charger. It has something to do with having a memory card inserted but with such a small inbuilt memory this is almost an essential addition to have. A BIOS upgrade is needed to correct this which can be obtained from the HP Support Web Site. As I bought my original IPAQ several years ago it is somewhat annoying to find that the fault is still present on devices sold today! I have yet to get WiFi to work properly. One WiFi hub I chose to test it on was down at the time and there is a general problem connecting PDAs to BT Homehub. So trying it on a friend's Home hub is a dead loss and, I suggest, this incompatability is a major limitation of the device. It does connect to BT hot spots but for this one pays by the hour. As this was one of the main reasons for buying the device I hope I can resolve the problem soon. Once it is resolved it should be a great product.

HP IPAQ The Business
Well this pocket pc, is one of the best purchases I have ever made, the wireless on it is crucial to my day to day living, absolutely fab product.

Problems with memory upgrade
The PDA is fine, but will not work with a memory card in situ. Contrary to what you might read, SD cards in axcess of 1GB memory are not supported by HP or the SD card... Read more
