I ordered a pack of photo paper based on what came with the printer; however, I hadn't realised that different paper photo paper has different strengths and weaknesses which could influence your choice. These are listed on the back of your paper pack when it arrives, but this is a bit late to know if you bought the right type! I couldn't find it anywhere on the web, so I've transcribed it here to help people pick the right type for their application. Bear-in-mind that these are the HP grading of their own paper:

This was my first foray into the photo paper market. The quality of this paper was not as good as the sample premium products and according to HP's information will not be as long lastiung either.
Given that the ink cost is the major factor in printing costs, I would use premium paper all the time in the future because the look and feel was so much better for only a small incremental price difference over this every day product.

this product is very good, but, my mistake, I did not check the size correctly,should have ordered the A4 size ! My fault and I stand corrected, but I am sure I will make use of it sometime in the future !
